2021 CPE 360

November 17 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ET

Join us for one – or all – of these year-end CPE programs covering timely and important topics impacting businesses today.

Session 1: 9:00 – 10:00 am ET
What’s Ahead for the Accounting World and Potential Impacts
This session will provide an overview of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) — why you should be thinking about this now and what it could mean to your business in the future. You’ll also learn about new, upcoming and proposed accounting standards relevant to private companies, including a brief overview of leases and practical considerations on what you should be doing to prepare for implementation by year’s end.

Session 2: 10:30 – 11:30 am ET
Cybersecurity Resilience to Protect Your Business
What should your company do to increase security effectiveness internally and across your business ecosystem? How do you shift from reactive to resilient security defense measures? Learn this and more from our panel of cybersecurity professionals.

Session 3: Noon – 1:00 pm ET
Tax Planning Potpourri
The last five years have been filled with tax law changes that have created many new opportunities for taxpayers — from new tax proposals, to the Employee Retention Credit, to new elections for various state and local tax deductions. Learn how to take advantage of current opportunities before key proposed tax increases take place.

Session 4: 1:30 – 2:30 pm ET
Real Estate Tax: Where We Are and Where We’re Headed
Join us as we explore topics that are top of mind for the real estate industry, including tax provisions that will be re-introduced after being suspended by the CARES Act, TCJA rule changes in the coming years and the impact of pending tax legislation on real estate investments. Topics will include loss and interest expense limitations, bonus depreciation, carried interests and like-kind exchanges, among others.

Session 5: 3:00 – 4:30 pm ET
Year-End Estate Planning and IRA Strategies Post SECURE Act: What’s Next?
For the first hour of this session, we will update attendees on pending changes in the estate tax regime and discuss attractive planning strategies heading into year-end. Stay tuned for the session’s last half hour where we’ll recap IRA and qualified plan rules under the SECURE Act and pending legislation (like the Build Back Better Act), as well as discuss related effective planning strategies.
